Old Mutual is one of South Africa's largest and oldest financial institutions. During my time at Old Mutual, I was part of the digital transformation team. The unit within the Old Mutual group was called the Digital Garage.

The Digital Garage was a customer experience initiative that aimed at putting the customer at the center of each of Old Mutuals' digital touch-points. In collaboration with various digital agencies and UX Consultants. Various squads were made to deliver designs not only at speed but also at scale.

As part of the internal design time at Old Mutual, I was involved in creating digital content, designing marketing material, Working on the component libraries for various applications, and promotional video content across the Old Mutual Group. Some of the projects included;

Designing within technical constraints and old architecture, to improve the experience, below is a screen encouraging customers to download the app. Below is the first iteration before the website was rebuilt on a new framework.

Within squad groups, a plethora of components, are quickly designed to create a component library, that could be tested and iterated upon as each feature was rolled out to the public. Below are just some of the components from the library I designed. The creative direction was decided by executive creative directors from agency partners and executed by a combination of Old Mutual Designers and agency designers.
